This past year, we donated more than 100 wreaths to the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery. Here’s why.
This past year, we were fortunate enough to partner with the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood. Each December, the nation Wreaths Across America organization places wreaths on individual veteran’s graves in more than 1,100 locations to include ceremonies at sea as well as national cemeteries on foreign soil.
This year’s ceremony was held here in Waynesville at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery. We were so fortunate this year to donate more than 100 wreaths to the cemetery. We also gathered to welcome the delivery truck in St. Robert, which was a whole lot of fun. Our team was there with banners cheering the truck on as it drove the wreaths to the cemetery.
Whether it’s your money or your time, don’t just give during the holidays. Make your donations throughout the year. There are so many wonderful nonprofits in our area, like the Good Samaritan Society, Humane Society of Pulaski County, the Free Women’s Center of Pulaski County, Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics of Missouri, and the Pulaski County Library District.
All these are worthwhile nonprofit organizations that would love to have your money or your time, any time of the year. I want to challenge all my fellow Realtors in the Pulaski County Board of Realtors to please consider donating a wreath for every closing you have in 2017 to the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery that we are so blessed to have right here in the Ft. Leonard Wood community.
If you have any questions for us, please don’t hesitate to ask. We look forward to hearing from you.
