Wreaths Across America
Wreath’s Across America is a national organization created to honor fallen veterans. Every year around Christmas, they travel across the country and lay wreaths on the graves of veterans and say their names to honor them and keep their memory alive. They perform these ceremonies at over 1200 locations in the United States, at sea and abroad.
Walker Real Estate supports this organization by donating a wreath for every house that is bought or sold with our company. In 2016, we were able to donate 105+ wreaths to our local Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood. You can learn more about the cemetery at their Facebook page here.
You can also donate or get involved with Wreaths Across America at their website here.

Snack in a Pack
Snack in a Pack provides supplemental food over weekends and holiday breaks for students who may otherwise go hungry while not in school. Snack in a Pack is managed by the Waynesville Americorps VISTA and Americorps Program. They feed approximately 300 students in the Waynesville R-VI School District every weekend and on long school breaks. They are funded 100% by donations.
Walker Real Estate supports Snack in a Pack by providing our moving truck for their monthly collections and by being a drop off location for donations. Walker’s partnership with Snack in a Pack began in 2015 when Johna learned about the students in the community that were going hungry because they could only eat when they were at school. She contacted the school district to find how to provide food for these students and they got our team set up with Snack in a Pack.
Snack in a Pack is always looking for donations. You can learn about what donations they currently need at the Waynesville School District website or contact our office any time.
